Transition Technologies PSC (TT PSC), a PTC partner and global solutions integrator with expertise in Digital Thread, Product Engineering and Digital Manufacturing, confirms its readiness to continue supporting customers following the announcement of the agreement for Schneider Electric to acquire PTC. Its priority is to maintain business continuity while helping customers assess how the proposed combination could support their longer-term industrial transformation and build on existing investments.
On 5 October 2026, PTC and Schneider Electric announced that they had signed an agreement for Schneider Electric to acquire 100% of PTC’s shares. The transaction is expected to close by the third quarter of 2027, subject to conditions including approval by PTC shareholders and the required regulatory approvals. Until then, the companies will continue to operate independently.
The proposed combination aims to connect product design and development data with information on manufacturing, product use and energy consumption. PTC’s capabilities in PLM, ALM and SLM complement Schneider Electric’s industrial portfolio. The official announcement also emphasised the openness and interoperability of the solutions across vendors and hardware.
Our customers rely on PTC solutions for processes that underpin product development, quality and on-time delivery. We therefore understand that an announcement of this kind raises questions about future collaboration. Our priority is to maintain continuity of support and project delivery. We remain in close contact with our customers and PTC to explain the implications of further updates and help each organisation plan the appropriate actions.
Why this matters now
For years, industrial companies have struggled with fragmented engineering and operational data, making it harder to trace changes, identify the causes of quality issues and use lifecycle information in everyday decisions. The strategic direction presented by Schneider Electric and PTC points to a broader shift toward connected product and operational data models. These connections provide a stronger foundation for industrial AI and lifecycle optimisation. For customers, the immediate priority is to understand where disconnected systems and data limit business performance, so that future technology decisions address those gaps and build on existing investments.
From TT PSC’s perspective, this direction addresses several key business needs:
- More efficient product development – stronger connections between requirements, documentation, designs and information from subsequent lifecycle stages can reduce manual data transfers and enable faster assessment of changes.
- Better decisions on quality and costs – incorporating manufacturing and service information into engineering activities helps identify the root causes of problems and improve subsequent product versions.
- Broader use of AI – structured product data, enriched with operational context, provides a foundation for automating analysis, retrieving knowledge and supporting everyday decision-making.
- Greater value from existing PTC investments – expanding connections between systems offers opportunities to increase the value of existing environments as organisations’ business needs evolve.
These are areas of potential business value identified by TT PSC based on the announced strategic direction. Details of future offerings and integrations will depend on further plans presented by PTC and Schneider Electric.
TT PSC has been helping industrial customers connect engineering, manufacturing and service processes for more than 20 years, delivering Digital Thread, PLM and Digital Manufacturing projects across industries including automotive, industrial equipment, FMCG and life sciences. This experience combines Product Engineering expertise with the integration of product data, enterprise systems and manufacturing environments. As an integrator of the wider industrial ecosystem, TT PSC helps customers turn a technology roadmap into a practical transformation plan: assess the current environment, identify gaps in data and processes, prioritise changes against a business case, and implement connections across the product lifecycle. Its PTC expertise spans consulting, implementation and development of PLM, ALM and SLM solutions, as well as collaboration with PTC’s research and development teams. This gives customers a partner able to evaluate future proposals in the context of their existing architecture, operational requirements and investment priorities.
Customer value emerges when new capabilities translate into shorter product development cycles, fewer errors or more efficient service. We will help customers assess future proposals from this perspective, taking into account their existing systems, priorities and the business case for investment. We want every decision on the further development of a PTC environment to be well informed.
Customers with questions about the proposed transaction or its implications for their projects can contact their existing TT PSC account managers. The team will help clarify the available information and discuss next steps in the context of each customer’s environment and development plans.
