Who has TT PSC collaborated with?
Mine Master Ltd
- ~320 employees
- 300 million PLN revenue
Mine Master is a Polish company based in Wilków, which has been in business for more than 40 years. It specializes in the production of drilling and bolting machines for underground mining, construction, and tunneling. The company collaborates with GHH Fahrzeuge (part of the Komatsu group), also offering loading and hauling machines, enabling the delivery of a full range of equipment necessary for mining and tunneling operations.
What was our role?
Transition Technologies PSC provided a comprehensive solution for creating, managing, and publishing documentation accompanying the manufactured machines.
In the first phase of the collaboration, the goal was to establish a process for creating parts catalogs linked to the model database in Windchill. This solution allowed for tracking changes in models and reusing previously created catalog sheets.
The second phase involved implementing the Arbortext software for creating operating manuals within the Windchill environment. As a result, the PTC Windchill system became a comprehensive platform for managing content delivered to customers. Similar to the parts catalogs, this solution enables tracking updates, reusing existing documents, and generating multilingual translations.
Business challenges
- Reproduction of parts catalogs and manuals according to actual products and their structure developed by the engineering department.
- Avoiding redundant work when creating duplicate data by compiling service manuals from reusable components.
- Centralized management of technical documentation with translation and publication capabilities in a standardized format.
- Integrating the documentation creation and management process with the PLM system.
Delivered Solution
- TT PSC, in collaboration with 3DPro, introduced the eBOM-to-sBOM transformation process, enabling the creation of catalogs based on engineering department data (CAD models and product structures). An automated publication generation process was also developed, based on product structure and CAD model illustrations.
- The PTC Arbortext software package was configured to allow the creation and publication of configurable documentation. Previously created documents were migrated to the PTC Windchill system as reusable components.
Main results and benefits
- Documentation creation and management are centralized within a single system.
- Technical documentation (e.g., operating manuals and parts catalogs) can be efficiently generated using existing data from the engineering department or previously created components.
- Individual sections of the documentation can be updated or replaced as product changes occur.
- Existing documents can serve as templates for new products, eliminating the need to create them from scratch.
- Documentation can be translated and published in multiple languages.
- The translation and publication process is automated and supported by the Windchill system.
The integration of PTC Arbortext and Windchill (PLM) ensured full synchronization of service documentation with product data, eliminating inconsistencies and increasing operational efficiency.
Mine Master demonstrated openness to innovation and commitment, which enabled a smooth implementation and maximized the potential of the system. Each such deployment, combined with close collaboration, is not just a technological success for us, but also a better understanding of industry challenges, the development of new solutions, and the building of long-term relationships.
