Transition Technologies PSC becomes a member of the IDTA

The Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) sees itself as a powerful alliance that is actively and innovatively shaping the future of the digital twin based on the asset administration shell (AAS). Its active members include many top names in the industry. As a new member, TT PSC Germany GmbH is actively involved in establishing the digital twin in practice in industry and companies.

The Digital Twin – the future of industry

The shared expertise in many fields is the basis for knowing the exact practical requirements for the digital twin and meeting them technically and organizationally with the IDTA. With innovative solutions and over 16 years of experience in the field of digitalization along the entire product life cycle, TT PSC contributes to successfully accompanying companies on the path to digital transformation.

For Erik Rieger, Principal Business Analyst at TT PSC, membership of IDTA is an important added value: “As the digitalization of the product progresses along the entire value chain, the design and acceptance of AAS plays a key role in gaining a competitive advantage. It is therefore of crucial importance for TT PSC to help shape this development, but also to learn directly about needs and trends together in the IDTA. We are therefore very much looking forward to working constructively with our members to shape the digital future.”

Lifecycle Management for Smart Operations

The digital twin contains all the information that characterizes the features and behaviour of an asset. The asset administration shell designed by IDTA implements this technology for Industry 4.0.

Thanks to its complete interoperability, the AAS paves the way for greater digital added value. It simplifies data management for both non-intelligent and intelligent devices. The AAS maps the entire life cycle of products, devices, machines and systems.

Together with PTC, SICK and ePLAN, TT PSC has developed an automatic condition monitoring system as an ASS application. The solution enables a guided exchange of spare parts as well as the update and patch process at store floor level.

This lifecycle management solution have been presented for the first time at SPS – Smart Production Services from November 14 – 16, 2023 in Nuremberg.
