Transition Technologies PSC supports SaMASZ in Digital Transformation
Transition Technologies PSC (TT PSC), a global integrator of IT solutions, is embarking on a digitisation project implemented for agricultural machinery manufacturer SaMASZ at its plant in Zabludów (Podlaskie Voivodeship). Part of the implementation, valued at more than PLN 3.7 million, will be carried out until December 2023 and is one element of SaMASZ’s larger digital transformation project.
“The heart of any production facility is data. That is why it is so important to manage it properly. This is the foundation of the factories of the future. Companies, operating in an increasingly competitive market, realise that in the digital race, those who boldly reach for modern solutions will win. In the Zabludów factory, our task will be to carry out automation of the entire production process in order to provide a single source of up-to-date product data and thus streamline the production process, which will translate into increased plant efficiency,” says Szymon Bartkowiak, CEO at TT PSC.
“SaMASZ’s digital transformation will include the digitisation of processes using an approach to a wider range of innovative technologies such as ERP (enterprise resource planning), PLM (product lifecycle management), AR (augmented reality), Cloud (cloud), IoT (internet of things), MES (manufacturing execution system), industrial analytics, APS (production planning and scheduling system), WMS (warehouse management system). As part of the collaboration, TT PSC will implement an innovative IT system based on the PTC Windchill platform for product lifecycle management. ‘Product data (models, designs, visualisations) will be published and made available to collaborators, who will be able to make changes to them, approve them, report updates, transfer work between process participants, manage access levels by individual participants, exchange knowledge and manage documentation,” says Leszek Szulc, Technical and Production Director at SaMASZ.
The state-of-the-art system implemented by TT PSC will be easy to integrate with other departments in the company, and this is crucial for a plant on the path to becoming a Smart Factory.
“Databases from any number of deployed systems must be integrated. It cannot be the case that data is transferred manually from one database to another. If we are able to operate the data, then we are able to digitise the company. Integrated solutions allow us to track production in real time and show companies whether their growth is sustainable. Companies should aim to integrate different systems, monitor and measure them. Only integrated digital systems give real-time insights,” says Radosław Cieślak, Regional Director for Eastern Europe at PTC.
